I just took delivery of the Akubra Rough Rider in Loden to go with my Tablelands in Brown Olive and my Blue Mountains in Bluegrass thanks to all of the encouragement here.
Coming next will be the Fed IV deluxe. I see that the site says
1930s Shape Specs:
Brim: Dipped Front with Raised Back &...
Ah, someone else who spells favourite the same way as I was taught! Tough to say. Tablelands was my first and I fitted it with the chin strap. It got most of the use specially on windy days until I got the wider brimmed Blue Mountains (while I am born and raised in Africa I have very fair skin)...
My collection is beginning to grow. I just took delivery of the Akubra Rough Rider in Loden to go with my Tablelands in Brown Olive and my Blue Mountains in Bluegrass. There may even be a Federation IV coming soon too.
Up until now I have been using old mesh routers to balance the hats on and...
Thanks all for your input. Rough Rider in Loden is on he way Fed IV Deluxe in Heritage Fawn to follow in November. As always the folks at The Hattery were outstanding.

@Zombie_61 I See that you have commented previously about breaking your Akubras.
My Tablelands is a touch too big. I put the felt strips in on both side and sits snugly on my head now.
The problem is that the shape does not match the shape of my head with a little too much space on the sides...
