That's just insane. For my own education does Goodwear but any hidden tags anywhere? I didn't think so but boys it's a hard think to spot one amazing A-2 out of the horde!
The tartan's a good idea. If you don't mind me asking how do you find the weight of the capeskin? I've been thinking about a summer jacket and it's a good looking possibility!
That's a great jacket. It's good to see people trying some of the more unexpected combinations. Elk + Peacoat. Every so often I take a good long look at that section of the Lost Worlds site. It's an interesting idea!
Great post! These are the types of things that make this forum useful. Man that TRM looks warm (I say this after just getting another 5 inches of snow).
Thanks again!
I've yet to see something from Freewheelers that I haven't liked. They're profoundly expensive and worse yet rare! At least with The Real McCoy's somewhere along the line you're going to see something on sale used.
That's a great jacket. These Aeromarine, Heron, eta 1930's civilian flying...
I've never had this much of a problem either. I'm wondering if somewhere in the 70 years something, or someone, happened to the fabric. Drycleaning, brushing, nothing helps. Almost makes a man want to go to The Real McCoy's and give up vintage (at least for a while).
Looks like they made one for Jansolo a few years ago. In the heavy stuff no less.

In my experience they don't. Looking at Buzz Rickson, The Real McCoy's, or The Few, they do get a bit heavy on the wool jackets. 36-37 oz peacoats as an example but none of the leather jackets are at the extremes of weight. Now admittedly none are light they all seem to start at the mid's with...
Mine are:
If you tell your tailor you met fellow customers online; (well. stores).
If you pay $10 an issue for a magazine without people committing lewd acts inside it;
If you buy magazines about shoes and clothing in languages you can’t read;
If you know where the outlet centers are in...
I'll put up a few pics of some of my favorites a bit later in the week. Currently it's nothing but rain, wind, and ever increasing darkness. Not great photography weather!
I like how you waxed/oiled the Iron Rangers. I hadn't thought about detailing it by using the different consistencies. I...
