    Post War Sears Hecules Jackets

The jacket you referenced is a Roughwear Co. made jacket. This one was in excellent plus condition. This is the Roughwear horsehide tag. I don't have any at this time. I do see them on ebay in all manner of conditions and prices. If you find one and have questions write me here, I may be...

Vintage Outerwear: Threads of the Past

I had a Capeskin version of the Duke from Bill Kelso. It was so light weight, felt like it had no structure. I'm always surprised to find old Cape jackets without scares and damage. I recently watched The Thing. A great movie. The original use to be on youtube. The main character in the...

    A-2 Flight Jacket Thread

I've owned a few Reproduction A2 jackets and several "Civilian" A2, the ones with the hand warmer pockets. I find this style one of the easiest wearing jacket styles, very comfortable. Lot of folks here have an A2, see them for sale in classified. Don't understand people thinking it is a...

Finds and Deals - Leather Jacket Edition

A California Sportswear Co. edition of the early Sears MC jackets. Don't see these too often. These have removable belts. These are probably the last of the Wool lined Hercules MC jackets. The measurements were interesting.

1930s Woolrich Two Tone Ski Suit with Grommet Zipper

I agree, not the correct location to sell. You did a great job with the pictures including the zipper date; H3 which is August 1933.

Finds and Deals - Leather Jacket Edition

In this album is a LW Trojan that came from Japan. It was magnificent leather, similar in weight to an original; not a 4 ounce + Test that I owned. I've owned a few LW jackets, I preferred the lighter weight jackets. https://photos.app.goo.gl/W4QbuxQxgxyovLnv7

Finds and Deals - Leather Jacket Edition

Beautiful Star Glove. Oh my! With the original collar, Crown zippers, badge holder. Looks to be in fine condition with quality horsehide. It appears to have had little use. Wonder if there is a back story. Bigger size too. Quite a jacket that seems fairly priced...

Finds and Deals - Leather Jacket Edition

Look at the leather on this one, amazing! The size in quite small, for a lady? Looks like new, with high quality leather from the 1930s...

Vintage Outerwear: Threads of the Past

This Californian was probably labeled a Pony hide in the late 30s. Has a grommet zipper assembly. It was old jacket when the movie was made, perhaps from the costume depth. Amazing to me the old, fragile capeskin survived the movie.

Vintage Outerwear: Threads of the Past

This image is the first image or mention of a zipper in men's outwear. They make it out as some thing new!

Vintage Outerwear: Threads of the Past

Here are a few for the younger lads in 1930. I did not know, till now, the Boyville name was used this early. The descriptions are a treat to read! 1930 Sears Catalog. Descriptions on second image.
