    Bill Kelso Californian/Surrogate...

Haha yep! I used to make home movies with an Indiana Jones type of character for my daughters when they were little and that's all they wanted to watch. So when we were all home during quarantine I figured I'd make another. Even though I'm old af now. But yeah I wore this jacket.

    Bill Kelso Californian/Surrogate...

I thought the stock size 48 sleeve length was going to be perfect, but it ended up feeling a little long. I had no intentions originally of folding over the cuff but that's what I had to end up doing. So in hindsight I should have ordered it with shorter sleeves. The folded cuff look is cool and...

To be fair it hasn't exactly been worn into an office. I've worn it falling off dirt bikes, falling down stairs, falling down hills. Lots of falling apparently. Thing's seen some action. But yes to your point it does age much quicker than your standard leather jacket.

I wore this jacket all through 2020 and on and off in '21. Haven't yet worn it in '22 or '23. I think it's looking pretty good though and I'm going to put it back into the rotation.

Alive and kicking! Lemme pull the ol' jacket out and snap some pics. Haven't worn leather once this year to be honest. Been wearing waxed cotton. I'll try to post some updates photos when I get a chance.

    Thedi Atlas Deluxe...

I've kind of been out of the leather jacket scene for a while now. Back in 2019 I picked up a BK Surrogate which was my first leather jacket in years. That jacket has been fantastic. Fit better than anything I had ordered previously. This past July I came across a Thurston Bros post of a Thedi...

Some Adirondack snow in the new Thedi Atlas Deluxe.

    New jacket day! Thedi Atlas

Just took delivery of this same exact jacket yesterday. Wow it's nice. The leather is absolutely beautiful. And the armholes are high and it's one of the rare leather jackets where I can reach forward and up and not have the whole jacket lift up to my ears. Sitting in the car with hands on the...

    Schott horsehide

My 641HH. Many years old, but very little wear on it. Never did like the Schott horsehide...felt like plastic versus every other HH jacket I've owned. Can't even get it sold on eBay! I've had great experiences in the past with Schott, but I won't buy their horse.

    BK Surrogate in Action!

Too funny, man.. I was on the COW forum back in 2007 thru probably 2009 or so (after I had worked on the film). Through COW I found Wested and Adventurebilt and even Alden, but man I just couldn't take the arguments over there over petty stuff! I had to get out of there! I didn't even know it...

    BK Surrogate in Action!

Yeah it was a CGI fest, man. And I've always thought Industrial Light and Magic does the worst CGI, too. Their stuff always looks so fake. Really takes away from what you're watching. Like the CGI gopher in the opening credits... I was already out! I also didn't like the lead Russian guy... he...

    BK Surrogate in Action!

. Haha thanks HD! Hope you're well, bud. I was getting a bit antsy with no action...had to do something about it! My wife wasn't too pleased when she watched it..she was like "Come on man you weren't even getting paid!" I'll tell ya, this thing is built like a tank. If I had any complaint...

    BK Surrogate in Action!

Okay, so I'm going to embarrass myself big time, but back when my daughters were little I used to make home movies about a French Adventurer (a la Indiana Jones). It was all they'd watch. Cartoons? Nah... they'd ask me to put on more "Pierre". Drove my wife nuts! But friends and family loved...
