    Neat. The quiz sheeplady linked to showed me as most likely being from Buffalo, Rochester, or Pittsburgh. The first two are, geographically speaking, not terribly far removed from the part of Canada I was born and raised in.

    My childrens' school seems to be about the only place last names are used. I frequently find myself forgetting the staff have first names, despite them considering us to be on a first name basis with each other (I've known most of the staff for years, and volunteer quite heavily at the school)...

    We live in a foursquare that was likely built sometime between the mid 'teens and the earl 1920s. After innumerable, poorly done renovations, I doubt a single original feature beyond the floors and one set of pocket doors remains.

    We got some snow, freezing rain and regular rain last night, and now the entire outdoors is a giant ice cube. The walk to school with the children was very interesting this morning. We're looking at an overnight low of -38C with the windchill. (-36F)

    I have no issue with cell phones. In fact, I'm quite grateful that a lightweight, pocket sized piece of electronic wizardry is able to function as a virtual office. It is life changing.
