I have a tweed rex, a tweed Irish walking hat, and several tweed caps by Jonathan Richards and can asssert without equivocation they are the finest such headwear money can buy. Its materials and workmanship are superb.

I know what you seek from the description, but, strictly speaking, I think "tweed fedora" is a contradiction in terms, even if the hat is proportionately the same. You make a fedora out of tweed, and it's no longer a fedora.

So what would one call it? Tweedora? Fedtweeda?

I thought the name fedora came from a play written in the late 1800s and not the materials used to make it? anyway, thanks for all the help! There are some nice lids in those links!

I have purchased a couple similar hats from an ebay vendor under the name of hatterjill. She made both of mine from retired tweed jackets. I am still very happy with both hats.
