Thank you for the idea, the saleslady gave me the same advice. I was a bit hesitant because the insole is almost the same price as the shoe (only because the shoe was a cheap half price). Maybe I will try it anyway.

I have a pair of aerosole shoes, not these ones but they are a real sort of granny brogue shoe and they are genuinely the most incredibly comfortable shoes I've ever had!! I highly recommend them

Hmm, you can try Remix shoes. Prices are much higher, but they do have some sale items, though of course those are final sale.

I'm intending to buy some more Aris Allens for street wear, and just get them re-soled/heeled if need be. I have a pair of the '30's Oxfords and also some Bleyer wedges meant for dance that I use as walking 'round shoes. The Bleyer is the shoe that I wear the most in warmer weather. Sooooo comfy.
