I haven’t posted in a while, but I really felt an urge here. I went to a Starbucks Coffee last year in a relatively hip part of town. I was wearing a Silver belly Camp Draft deluxe, a tan-ish overcoat (it was cold), with pants, shirt, and odd jacket. The person taking my order said “oh, Inspector Gadget.” I just gave her a quizzical look. I didn’t really understand what she said or meant until after I had already left.

I don’t know if she meant it just to be funny or as sort of an insult. I can laugh at myself, and do enjoy laughing at myself from time to time but for some reason this just rubbed me the wrong way. Needless to say I haven’t returned (partly because of that incident and partly because of their stance on firearms).
