Great post IMO Ed. The fellow, on left, with the Kalamazoo looks dapper. I owned a vtg. Kalamazoo a while back that had a bit fancier outside and bling fretboard. I am sure it probably sounded the same when country blues were fingerpicked on it as the on in the pic.

Found so many pictures of Lisbon that I'm afraid to flood this thread.
The building in the 7th picture was demolished long time ago.
The women in the 5th picture are "Varinas". They sold fish around Lisbon and wore that thing that looked like a hat but I believe it was some kind of cushion to ease the weight of the basket and fish.

The 1st picture is Belém train station on Estoril railroad before electrification that happened in 1926.
The 3rd picture was a lake that no longer exists. This is now the begining of "Parque Eduardo VII". The "Marquês de Pombal" monument was still under contruction
