Didn't have time to post yesterday, but it was the T&W Lees in eventide grey.

Yes, BOTH are top-notch, as always, Stefan! But there's something about that scarf... At the risk of channeling Rodney Dangerfield, my wife gave me this scarf; where did you get yours?! ;)

VS, in Oxblood. Vintage French copper ribbon.

Thanks, Charlie! My wife doesn't give me scarves (scares: sometimes, scars: only on my soul, but scarves: no:D). This one comes from one of the Episode vintage clothing stores in Amsterdam. They have whole bins full of them and if you search thoroughly there's an occasional cashmere one. This one is one of those. It goes with just about anything.

The length looks good on you. Mine is a bit wiry too. Try some beard oil & beard baum, or just some jojoba oil 3 times per wk after a hot shower. It will really help to soften it up & make it more manageable.
Thanks for the advice Jack. I've been looking for my bottle of jojoba oil for a couple of weeks now for another purpose. I seem to have done an excellent job of misplacing it.

Totally agree, the length looks good. Mine would look wino-esque, if not for conditioner and beard oil.

Thanks D-d. My main issue with the length is that it hides my neckties. Ha ha.

That one does appear to have some significant age Michael. Love that overcoat.
Yes, I'm thinking it's 30s. That is one of my top three or four overcoat favorites.

Ventured out for some short errands yesterday and this morning. More to just see some daylight than anything. Finally got around to dealing with the images.
Yesterday: Dobbs Twenty. Boy do I look scruffy.

Great looking Dobbs Red.

Spiffy bow on that Marathon. I do like that blue overcoat, is that the Air Force one?
Thanks Red. Yes, this is the 1951 Air Force Topcoat. Wish a Harris Tweed jacket under. Served me excellently on today's outing. Very comfortable was I.

My godfather passed away so a black hat.

Sorry to hear of the loss of you godfather, Joao.

You wear it well, Michael! But then you wear everything well.
Thanks Steur. You were looking very sharp in the last two days hats. You have a whole field of winners in your stable.

Thanks all,
Michael

I'm not a big fan of westerns but wow. That hat is outstanding. The shape, the color, the ribbon! Yikes!

Coincidentally, yesterday I found a western (5X beaver) I bought 14 years ago in northern Colorado and wore a few times, and then put away. Last night, when I ran across it and dug it out, as long as I was recreasing fedoras, I put the western to the steam and redid the brim more to my liking.

I also found some grosgrain of the thickness I prefer, pulled off the thin leather band, and did a mockup with the grosgrain. What a difference!

Now I see your hat and I'm thinking that it has been ordained that I do this. I'm gonna sew it on as soon as I can, and maybe actually wear the hat again.
