A quick update:
In my pair there were a lot of broken seams on the inside of the boots. Plus the sole was coming off. John Lofgren had them send me to Japan. Their proposal was whether to get them repaired or get a completely new pair. The repair would've taken about a month, so I opted for the new one. I know, not very sustainable.
But now it's start from scratch again.
Here is the evolution in the last month.

They'll look like my old ones soon as I'm wearing them whatever the weather again.
Peace always

That's too bad about the originals; it's the first time I've heard of that happening on a pair of Lofgrens. Good thing it got squared away easily. :)

What insoles did you put in yours? I don't wear mine much cause they're a little too hard on my feet.

I wear these footactive insoles with a leather cover.
They're really good for my feet. They also exist as full soles. And yes, without insoles they're not comfortable for my feet too.
But in my opinion you should wear insoles in all work boots. Most of them do not have any arch support at all, so you simply destroy your feet by wearing them without insoles.

Thanks for the tip on the leather-covered insoles. That's been the one thing I was hoping to find. Of course, I didn't even look yet.
Nice on the new pair - although the old ones were starting you look like yours...

@A-1 sounds like you need some Whites ;)

Ya, I know they got arch support, but I won't buy anything new anymore. Seriously, only second hand/vintage. Plus, I now own five pairs of work boots of which I only wear theJL, more or less. So totally no need for adding anything.

As for the insoles:
Actually, what really helped me to get rid off all pain in my feet ( i have a heel spur) is the following:
I now use two insoles. First these to cover the complete foot bed:

As they're very thin, they will fit into every shoe you wear and that's why I bought these in the first place.
Second, I put in these half soles, to have double shock absorbing in the heel area. As they're only half way through the boot, they don't really make the boot much smaller.

I had tried a lot of different insoles and nothing worked until I tried this.
There was a time when I couldn't walk properly because of the heel spur. It's all gone since I've been using this double insole technique. Hooray!

A lot of people tell you the leather soles in work boots are so great and will mold to your feet, but for my feet they were horrible, to put it mildly.

That is quite excellent customer service. I'm glad to hear that. My Lofgrens have been great so far. The leather is a little soft, but the construction has been flawless.

I don't wear any insoles in any boots, shoes, or sneakers that I own. I guess I technically should, but I have yet to feel the need.
