Ok, for any one that is a size 10AA, these are perfect for you! These shoes look to be new in the box!

Hmm, I wear a 9 1/2... Maybe I can scrape something together. Just out of curiousity, Root, how can you tell they're from 1946?

Well, I'm almost sure of it seeing that I have this original ad from a 1946 copy of Post. I have the same shoe! But, the ebay pair could be earlier then 46 seeing that they have a brown leather trim around the top of the shoe. Mine however doesn't have that brown leather trim around the opening.

Here is the Ad.

Note: the opening on the ones in the ad do not have the thin brown leather trim as the ones in the ebay auction.

They could be from the late 30's or early 40's. But, my guess is that they are from the late 40's at least.

1/2" to short? Maybe you could have them stretched a little. Good shoe shops can do that for you! The price is right any way you look at it and in my humble opinion there is nothing like an original set of two tones seeing that they are whte buck and brown leather! They don't make them that nice any more that I have seen!

You may want to try them out and heck, if they are too small, relist them on ebay or list them here for sale. I'm sure you'll get your money back!!! ;)

Ah yes, the AA is just a little to narrow!!! I'm a 12D and I have tried on a 12AA before. Lets just say it wasn't a good fit.

A narrow shoe will always be a narrow shoe.

RATS!

Brad, I'm thinking you might fit these if you're a 9 1/2. But, may be just a little narrow for you too, don't konw.

Heck, I may just buy them since they're so cheap! I would like to just have these because of the box and the original tissue paper!

I might buy them and just hang on to them seeing their getting hard to find. May even use them as a sample to copy if I ever find a guy who could make a good copy.

I have a pair of NOS vintage white bucks somewhere I will probably get around to selling which are size 11 and are too big for me. So now I don't take any chances when buying shoes, hehe.

Vladimir,

I am a 10.5 E and have taken to wearing 11's with no problem. Got a picture and price for your white bucks?

Root, those are perfect shoes, just can't bring myself to chopping off my toes!

Interesting. Mine do have the brown trim around the opening. Maybe this pair is the small twin to mine. I love that pair of shoes. Reminds me of something Cab Calloway would wear with a Zoot suit. :p

Regards to all,

J
