Well I acquired a Bradford Hat a while back , part of their Western Collection and was originally purchased years ago at Porter's in Tucson. It's a Silverbelly color with a 3 inch brim and a 5 inch crown. It's a nice soft hat along the lines of an Open Road.

Resistol bought out Bradford in the 60s but I don't know if they continued to make hats under this brand? The Beaver 35 designation suggests a higher quality hat but I can't find anything out about this company. No Resistol markings anywhere on it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Must......post.......pictures......

I've had a few Bradfords over the years. Though not westerns, mine seem to be late '40s to mid '50s. Post some pictures so we can compare liners and sweats.

I was under the impression that, at the time, HATCO decided that Resistol and Stetson were tired old brand names. So, they changed Resistol to Bradford, and Stetson to Stevens. It didn't work, so they went back to the original names. Could some of our historians weigh in and either correct or confirm my suspicions? :)
