Hello,
My name is Karina. In case you’re wondering about my username, my grandmother was called Margaret Elizabeth, and she was often called Maggie-Beth so I chose to use her name.
I am very new to all things vintage, I have a lot to learn but I love learning so it's not a problem for me. I am trying to master pin curls at the moment.
I found the Fedora Lounge through a link on another vintage website. I spent 4 hours looking through the "show us your hairdo" thread and was amazed. It's taken me a while to join, but I'm finally here now.
I look forward to learning more and meeting everyone.:)

I'm Hailey. I'm 13 turning 14 in December. I love vintage obviously since I'm here. lol My favourite actresses are Audrey Hepburn, Leslie Caron, and Anne Hathaway. Audrey being my favourite favourite!:) My favourite era would have to be the 50's

My favourite movies would be Roman Holiday, Sabrina, Breakfast At Tiffanys, all the rest with Audrey Hepburn, Ghost, Sleepless In Seatle, French Kiss, Funny Girl, An American In Paris, GiGi, To Catch A Theif, Princess Diaries 1 and 2, Get Smart, Anything with Anne Hathaway, and alot more.:)

My hobbies are dancing ballet (on my second year), playing my violin (on my fifth year), acting (I'm trying to become an actress), Modeling (It's neat), and more stuff. I can't wait to start posting more here, and getting to know you all!:)

Did I violate some rule by posting in the "powder room"?

I want to make sure I am abiding by the rules. It is encouraging to see our young adults positively motivated by the Fedora Lounge.

I introduced myself in the powder room, but I'll introduce myself here as well. :)

My name is Hailey, I'm 13 turning 14 in Dec. I adore vintage. I try to dress vintage everyday unless my parents force me to wear a pair of jeans here and then. I dance ballet (This is my second year), I play the violin (This is my fifth year), I act (I'm trying to become an actress), and I model (Helps get noticed so it could help my acting ;) ).

My favourite era would have to be the 50's, I like the 60's as well. My favourite actress of course would have to be Audrey Hepburn. Some other actresses that make my favourites are Leslie Caron, and Anne Hathaway. I plan on becoming an actress someday. I would love to bring class back to the screen! :) Well, I don't have much more to say. If anyone wants to know more go ahead and ask me.

Howdy Cowgirls!

Just wanted to introduce myself....Let's see....where to start? I think I first stumbled onto this site a couple years ago when i was doing pin curl research. :) Since then I have perused when in need of specific info on fashion, makeup, etc.
After "growing up and out" and becoming more and more frustrated that I could no longer fit into my vintage dresses, I started collecting vintage patterns and now I make my own darned clothes! I found a blurb about someone on the vintage pattern wiki, and discovered she was affiliated with this site and thought, "Okay, that's about the 8th time I have been directed to the Lounge....maybe I should just join!"
So here I be.
Hope everyone had a fabulous long weekend!!

Hi all, I've been stuck in the powder room...the girls are just so entertaining and sweet over there, I hadn't gotten around the rest of the lounge!

I'm just hanging around because I love the 30s-40s era, and it's nice to know that I'm not the only one, and it's great to be able to learn from everyone here!

I found the key to the door and now I am in the lounge Danke mein Herr.



I have been reenacting since I was a kid 1700's to WWII
I am a second generation tailor and have recently moved my shop to a very bohiemian area of town full of vintage stores!!! I spent 7 years with Redwood and Ross and 10 years with Jacobsons as their tailor. I have been on my own for the last 10 years.

this site is wondeful I havent had a lot of time to see all the sites but will in time.

I have decided to start wearing suits again and also plann to start dancing.
