A very special Christmas Eve...

Today was the day that I made my engagement to my fiancée official. So naturally, I got dressed up. To complete the ensemble, I wore my new (modern Stetson Vintage Collection) Whippet.

While walking through central Osaka, I got a few "Is that Johnny Depp?!" comments from passersby. (Public Enemies came out here just recently.) I know some people dislike the commentary, but it tickled me to hear it. I guess it could get old pretty quickly, though. [huh]

She, of course, was also quite appreciative:

An excellent sportcaster's look, in my opinion - fun and stylish.

My boyfriend is also in television news, only he's the on-air live reporter, not an anchor, so he can get away with hats in the field. Rest assured though, his producers have chirped him out if they don't like his glasses or his hat, but public response on their website tells a different story. They like the look! :)
