Dropping a gas tank is easy. Especially in MoPars. My brother's fell off in his '86 Ram and mine was sitting on the driveshaft of my '89 Ram when I bought it. Had to replace the one in the '73 Satellite as well. A couple hoses and straps and it's outta there.
They'd probably go with me. We're all car people and hate the cold!
What's he asking for it?
Sleek and sporty, but not my cup of tea. Too modern looking for my taste. I like lotsa chrome and room lol
The radiator wasn't a 31, though. It was a modern job to keep up with the 350.
Expert? Hardly. I'm just a shadetree mechanic who knows enough to be dangerous. More often than not, my dad or brother, who are far better mechanics than me have to bail me out.
Wouldn't my name have to be Thomas, first :p
I wish. I wouldn't be living in the Winter Wonderland or driving an old farm truck all winter long lol lol lol
I pray I haven't! Genetically speaking, though, it'll probably gray early, but won't disappear much more than an inch or two back from where it currently sits.
At some point, I'm sure the value for maturity will return.
On the note of the radiator, we had a leak in our '31 Model A and that Prestone Stop Leak and Super Tech Coolant fixed it. One didn't work without the other, though.
For the Transmission, I recommend trying some Lucas, I can't remember the exact name, but it's some sort of tranny stuff they...
I reckon you're right. You'd think at some point they'd wanna stop dressing like kids, though. I hated dressing like a kid, even when I was a kid.
I also agree with your theory on the backlash against the overly casual fashions. The pendulum has to start swinging the other way at some point.
