    The Dobbs Diner...

Dobbs Fifth Avenue from OFAS.It's a very nice tan color, with a stiff 2.5" raw edge brim and a very stiff crown. The sweatband is kind of wonky, very stiff and looks new. There are no tags or stickers behind the sweat that I can see (it's glued to the liner behind the size tag). I feel like I...

    Hat Storage

Miller Hats here in Houston sells cardboard hat boxes with the inner ring for $10 (don't know what they charge for shipping). I bought one just last week, and will be buying more as parcels from OFAS pile up on my doorstep. They are not made of acid free paper/cardboard, so I keep the hats in...

    Newbie Intro

These threads offer advice on shaping the brim of a panama. I have successfully flattened a panama brim from a shape I did not like by spritzing the brim with water, and weighting it down with books on top of a towel. I next plan to turn the front brim down by similarly wetting the brim...

    Panama Hat Thread

Not a panama, but a cheap straw (palm) planter style hat from Guatemala that I picked up last summer in a Central American crafts/import shop here in the Houston Heights. Woven by "Victor Castro." Worn this evening while enjoying the spring-like weather.

one dumb question to prevent many more...

This is great info, I've been having the same problem. Another question: is there a way to search on this site such that it shows the specific post (or even the page) on which the search term occurs? My search results give me the whole thread, but I really don't have the time to flip...

Welcome, Playa Playa. If you've heard that saying, then you've probably heard "no one's so poor they can't clean up their yard." Nice to have another attorney around; we're not all sharks. --Cracker, Esq.
