My Favorite Year
Set in the 50's with Peter O'Toole as an aging Errol Flynn type set to be on a Your Show Of Shows type television show. One of my favorites!
Terry Gilliam anyone?
I just watched both The Fisher King and Brazil again....I'd forgotten how much I enjoy Terry Gilliam's movies.
I also watched Avatar again. Anyone else reminded of Disney's Pocahontas...cept in space...and with no singing.
I like this show alot. Monday nights on my cable system are great. Antiques Roadshow, American Pickers, and then Pawn Stars. I love looking at other peoples junk!
Peter O'Toole to replace Richard Harris as Dumbledore in the Harry Potter series. I haven't really warmed to Michael Gambon in the roll. He's not the Dumbledore of the books. Richard Harris was perfect! Dead on... O'Toole would have brought the same kind of whimsey to the role that Harris had in...
I wear mine in my pants pocket most of the time but I do worry about all the bouncing around the watch does when worn this way. I think the vest pocket arrangement is probably best for the watch itself...
John Lennon-Beautiful Boy-
Very sad given what happened to him...And prophetic really...."Before you cross the street, take my hand. Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans" Great song!
Love the movie "10 Items or Less" Morgan Freeman is hilarious! My favorite scenes in it are of him following an older grocery clerk around the store imitating everything the old guy does. If you haven't seen it, you really should...
1962 Schwinn Typhoon....It's a middleweight but sill a very cool vintage bike.http://i604.photobucket.com/albums/tt130/Nathan9328/typhoon7.jpg?t=1248628614
Thanks for the warm welcome guys. Kilroy, the Roadmaster is a 26" bike. I painted it in colors my wife picked out so it's in no way a true "resto." The burgandy color is kind of metalic. The fender is laced with a dark burgandy ribbon that again my wife picked out. I think it looks very cool...
Newbie...1900 Private Label Hamilton
New to forum and enjoying it! Here's a private label Hamilton from 1900. It was done by Hamilton for a jewlery store in Rosewell NM by the name of Park and Morrison. You see their name on both the dial and the movement. Very cool watch! It runs well so I...
Newie...Again!! 1949 Black Phantom and Friend
Here's another try at posting this bike...It's a 1949 Schwinn Black Phantom. I've had the bike for 15 yrs. and I'm still not quite done with the resto. The tank still needs new chrome...I'm also going to try and upload a picture of the 36 Road...
