I spoke with Hat People awhile back about the wool. It is made by Pendleton(I have some of their shirts, very nice) and the herringbone caps are made with the wool used in their sport coats whereas the heavier heather caps are made from the wool used in overcoats.
Neophyte,
I've been on the verge of pulling the trigger on that exact hat since Christmas. It will be my first newsboy. Please post some pics when it arrives.
The sense of entitlement people have these days never ceases to astound me. The arrogance of people getting so defensive when someone politely asks them to do something.
I used to have a neighbor who trained his dog to poop just outside his own yard and in a common area where people would...
I know this thread is over a month old but I'm also considering the same exact hat. What are your thoughts so far? Please post some pics of you in the hat when you get a chance.
Does anyone have any experience with one of these. I'm looking for a tweed flat cap which comes down lower on the back. This one also has a bill built like a Hat People cap without the plastic insert. I kind of like that idea but I've never owned a cap that doesn't have the plastic.
Stearman, what municipality is it? I know in Aurora, there are two different types of motorcycle officer. One is the type you refer to as traditional and they wear the uniforms you like. Their duty is to write traffic tickets and nothing else. The other team is called the DART team. That...
I have been looking at all wool flat caps and newsboy caps. I currently have a Harris tweed cap and like the fabric but the fit could be better so I'm looking for another one with a deeper back. Is anyone able to compare/contrast Harris vs. Donegal tweeds?
Yeah, I just noticed them. Very nice. One appears to be darker than the other. The lighter one seems to have, what looks like, a pink stripe running through the pattern. I'm not sure which one would be more versatile. I like things about both. No, I'm not going to buy both but I'm sure...
I'm looking at maybe getting a Hanna flat cap as I have heard they come down further in the back. My current flat cap just sits on top of my head and I would like more coverage in the cold weather. Anyone have pics of the sewn bill vs the snap bill. I understand the cut of each is different.
I really like territory ahead but they are pricey, in my opinion. I don't buy unless it's on sale and/or I have a coupon. Do a search because you can usually find an online coupon. I disagree with a post above in that I don't think they are like LL Bean or Land's End at all. They use...
I'm in the exact same boat of looking for my first fedora. I'm would like to stay around $100 and was considering the Akubra Campdraft based on reviews. But, I'm not seeing anyone suggest it here. Is there something about it which would eliminate it from the starter category?
