Usually I plague hat makers with requests for ever wider hatbands, but I did not even have to ask Thomas Farthing for a wider hatband for this beauty, a high crown fedora sold by them but made in Spain...
So anyway I am excited to tell people that I just picked up a Guerra Castor over at Sids-clothing.com it was $134 dollars off and is pure beaver, joy! I have also been fancying a Stetson Danbury but Sids does not say how tall the crown is, and I note that when another member asked if anyone knew...

Well I got another new hat, this time from Peter Christian a menswear company online here in the UK, very good value for money at only £95 which is about US$ 125 dollars, fur felt, presumably rabbit. Not an easy price to beat. Now to get some steam on to define those pinches a little
New Hat, Poet Fedora from Bates Hatters London. Ribbon got a bit wrinkled in transit , but a gorgeous hat made from super soft Antelope felt, comfortable and warm. If only I had the hand eye co-ordination to put proper pinches in
