    Lenny, may i suggest,buy the most authentic /correct repro you can afford and a leather gloves. You will have best of both worlds. And right now, Goodwear is the end of the rainbow, but i don't think i'll ever reach that pot of gold. That's just me though.... Regards, Atkins

    Hi Kojax, Well i don't have camera to show you the vintage horsehide patches i have from Shaul. And my english won't let me describe it correctly. It's brown with reddish shade. Very cool color. It's physically thinner than US'A other color horsehide . Hope this helps. Regards, Atkins

    I'm waiting for leather samples from NZ, when it arrived, i will be sure which one is thicker, RMCNZ or US'A. I can't believe the caliper shows almost 2mm thick on US A' russet hide. Regards, Atkins

    I imagine if you can get measurements and pix from someone with an original or faithful repro RW, you can be specific on what you want US-A to make for you. That's very true my friend, well untill i found the right owner with the right size, i'll have to stick with cloth model of collar base...
