Nifty Tool for Difficult to Shop for People

I am sure you are all aware of wish lists like Amazon.com's. Great for picky people and far away relatives, but what if your tastes don't show up on Amazon? Well, I was thinking about developing a site to solve that problem, when I found someone had already beaten me to the punch...

    Car Key Woes!

Yes, we are better off today than yesterday. Yes, my Lincoln has an expensive fob. Yes, my wife's Audi doesn't have a single part that costs less than $250. Yes, you can get aftermarket clones cheaply. Get to know a used car dealer or eBay. Yes, my Bronco requires 3 keys as the...

Rick Deckard Costume, more than just a coat

My replica is made by Richard Coyle. Great link. Bull barrel revolver mated to a Steyr rifle bolt, yup, that's the blaster... As for Gaff, they never specified his race, but his first appearance he is speaking 'City Speak': "The charmer's name was Gaff, I'd seen him around. Bryant must...

Rick Deckard Costume, more than just a coat

Sadly, it has been tabled. Personal and fiscal demands on my wife and I have caused us to table it for this year. Unless Rachel's dress, tailored to my wife, falls from the sky, we aren't proceeding.

    Vocabulary Today

I am fluent in several forms of white trash. It's just as 'broken' as ebonics, but they all have rules of usage and conjugation, just not the same a standard (American) English. You don't have to like it, but it's a dialect like Welsh, Cockney, Kiwi, etc. etc....

    Interested in a MK Falcon?

there was a great thread on here that i can't find, comparing the various version of the dingus- from both The Maltese Falcon and The Balck Bird. But, MK's is an original sculpture recreated from screeen shots, not a recast from a dummy or other copy with questionable providence. a little...

    Auschwitz Officer Scrapbook

My point was that people over-simplify evil and become desensitized to human nature. No, it is naive to believe otherwise. It is denying the dark side of human nature to simply say, "Oh, they were evil psycho's, that's why they did that. Luckily, everyone I know ISN'T an evil psycho...

    Auschwitz Officer Scrapbook

It is sad that people find these photos so shocking. The fact that it seems shocking only adds evidence to the conclusion I have come to- "Nazis" have become such an oversimplified cliche of evil that people, especially Americans, can't or won't accept that they were humans. All of them...
