Irregardless, I'm going to the ATM machine, put in my PIN number and get one hundred and twenty dollars.
That is one of the things that get me. When people add the last word of an acronym after saying the acronym. I doubt any realize they are being redundant. Throwing an and in when...
I have smoked maybe two packs of cigarettes when experimenting in my teen years. Now I have a cigar maybe once or twice a month. Sometimes more, sometimes less. It probably averages out to about two dozen a year.
I like the Corcoran jump boots myself. I have a pair of Corcoran I's and II's I wear when I do not need steel toes at work. I prefer the I's over the II's. I am planning on getting some of the brown Corcoran's soon. I am also looking at these repro rough outs.
If anyone is close or travelling to Savannah, GA, the Savannah History Museum just opened Hats:Crowning Glory of a Bygone Era. The link is for the exhibit opening calender event.
It seems to be a display of women's hats with some vintage clothing and accessories mixed in. There is also an...
Thanks. Hopefully she will not try to curtail the hat, and other things vintage, collecting. She is pretty much OK with it so far. I guess as long as I do not start spending the grocery money on eBay things will be fine.:D
I have thought about that. The auction had some pretty good photos and everything looked clean. When I received it, it looked like nothing had been used. I had a bristle shaving brush in it that looks to have never been in water, much less had any shaving soap or cream on it.
It was £0.99, at the time $1.87, the shipping from the UK was a little up there, £12.00, about $22.00. Probably a little high for shipping, but it was what I was looking for so what the heck.
I saw Maynard Furgeson in the early '80s. Our band director told us about the concert and a few of us joined him in going to the show. Rest in Peace Mr. Furgeson, may your horn compliment the chior of angels.
I thought about that myself.
You should be able to find several on eBay. I came across several with different colors and styles of the various holders. The main things I was looking for was some sort of case to put the razor in, as opposed to just a loop for it and the chrome or stainless...
Here's Mine
Here are some photos of the one I picked up a few months ago. It came with a really light weight Gillette safety razor, which I replaced with my Merkur Long Classic. It also had the two Blue Gillette Blades in it as well, although I do not plan on using those.
I have no idea...
I like the sound of rain, if it is accompanied by thunder claps that is good also.
A distant train.
A propeller driven multi-engine aircraft, mostly radial engined, but a C-130 is not bad.
The sound of nothing but my own breathing and heartbeat when I get a hundred meters or so up...
Strange, this thread gets started after I was looking for some on eBay.
My dad gave me an old one in my younger days. From what I can remember it looked much like the one Nick linked from the Sportman's guide without the pockets. It had US markings, black fittings, which looked like brass...
I will still be in GA, I am moving to the other side of the county. I am getting married in a month and we will need a bigger house, what with bringing four kids into the mix.
Of course I am still trying to convince my fiance that the hat interest is nice and innocent.
By the way, if...
Thanks all. I am looking forward to my first vintage lid. I have a few new hats. This is my first stingy as well, something else I was looking forward to getting.
SinatraStyle, yep, the reg hair cut does nothing for protection of the head. Heck, in the Air Force, they did away with the...
