Thanks! I'm not much of an adventurer, so I am happy to have been able to capture the essence.

Adventure! Fedora Lounge Folks in Action!

While not quite as adventurous as some folks on here, my friend and I recently went digging for shark teeth at Shark Tooth Hill near Bakersfield, CA. The heat and excitement had me forgetting to take photos of the dig, but I did get some grubby post-dig photos of my outfit -- because I'm that...

Thank you! It's funny you say that because afterwards I thought it kind of reminded me of this Rita Hayworth photo! I really appreciate you visiting my blog!! Thank you!

I am so happy you enjoy them. I really hope other gals start posting some photos soon too. I have a couple more I want to post but I don't want to turn this into the Lolita Haze Vanity thread! Ahahaha

    The Pinup Thread

I wouldn't say this is exactly pinup, more (non-Hurrell style) classic Hollywood, but I can't think of a better place to post these... if there is a better thread let me know. You can see a couple more photos on my blog Vintage Starlet.

What's the best modern electric tool you use for your vintage hair styles.

Unfortunately, heat doesn't work on my hair at all -- unless I want to straighten it.

    Ornamental plants in general

So these grow nicely in small spaces? Will it have to continue to get repotted once the plant grows? I only have a small (very small) space in my room, but I am looking to try to grow new plants since I cannot plant an actual garden, flower or vegetable.

Oh no!! I'm definitely not ready for that day! I will begrudgingly eat milk chocolate if I have to! :D

    Show Us Your Sewing Patterns

**I did a quick search and didn't see a dedicated thread to sewing patterns. If there is another can a bartender merge this with that one?** Show us your sewing patterns!! Bonus spirit points if you post a picture of what you made from it next to it!! I have been terribly naughty. As we know...

    The Hair Tutorials thread

I suppose it's better to post this here than in the show us your hair thread -- I filmed a follow along with me video for my youtube page, Lolita Haze for a 1940s setting pattern called Feather Bangs. You can watch the video as well as check out my blog, Vintage Starlet for more photos.

    Sewing failures

This quarantine has me finding a lot of old sewing failures! Both in the frumpy sense and the mistakes made as a baby sewist. I am taking the time to try to fix all these mistakes as much as I can and make them wearable because the outfits or fabrics themselves are worthy of being seen -- even...

What's the best modern electric tool you use for your vintage hair styles.

I finally broke down and got a small hair dryer to travel with. Lugging my bonnet dryer with me everywhere became cumbersome and costly (extra weight in suitcase already full of costumes and props and a travel steamer). I only use the hair dryer to quickly dry my hair from wet to damp, at which...
