KamiKat, 3 months is 3 months, with normal wear and tear. However I have some that are older because I only use them on occasion. Shoot, I don't think anyone follows it, though. I actually need new ones.
KittyT, the only reason it said "the middle hook" is for weightloss or weight...
They aren't vintage, but Frederick's of hollywood carries a nice selection as well as some of the "adult" stores around town, if you catch my drift. Persoanlly I love fishnet backseams and cuban heels.
Lillemore, I find it odd too. I love velvet, I think it's classy. I'm the same way, I wear because I like it, not so much as a retro throw-back. I have velvet radar, I will sniff it out of a store. lol! Supposedly velvet is in again, this winter, so hopefully I can get some new tops. ;)
Everyone found such pretty things! I have lots of ideas on where to find a dress for my husband's company x-mas party! ;)
Texasgirl, that bottom, rust/burgandy, floral dress is soo pretty. Very romantic.
*How long have you been sewing?
hmmm I'm 32 now, since maybe 5 or 6-years-old.
*How did you learn to sew?
I learrned from my mother, on my great grandmother's treadle. (I can remmeber sneaking needles, thread and fabric from my mom).
*What was the first project you made that you...
Geez, I wasn't trying to offend. Even the most expensive toile isn't all that expensive, same goes for ribbon. I'm pretty handy, so I guess maybe for someone like me, it seems pretty simple. For someone that doesn't sew, I guess maybe that is worth that price to them. It just seems pretty...
Yeah, my rosaecea is mild now too (meds in the past helped a lot). I don't embarrass easily, but when I do everyone knows! LOL! :eusa_doh:
I actually got a new perscription for Metrogel, but the phamacy was telling me that the metrogel company is having a hard time producing (maybe something...
Tinseltown, I'm not sure, it looks to be definately of that erra. Is there a brand name on the lamp? Most times, if something is stamped (on the bottom, I would think) "made in U.S.A.", then it's proably old. If it says "made in china", then you know it's a reproduction.
Currently I'm working for a temp temp company that has this dress code and one of the no nos is velvet. Since when is velvet bad (maybe they are comfusing it with the cheesy shiny stuff?)? I have velvet blazers and tops that will out pro any cookie cutter tard at some of these businesses...
Kassia, I have the same complaints about shoes. I want cute work shoes and I lean toward clunky heels. the spike heels that are back in, are great, but they wear out fast and my arches are yelping by the end of the day. THese I have on order and they're taking forever. They're modern with a...
It's a pretty lamp.
I don't know how much that is actually worth but, I think the better question is; is it worth that much to you?". Otherwise, you'll just drive yourself crazy, if you find one cheaper. Considering it took you so long to find one, then I would say it was worth that price. :)
Hello... Nice topic...I love tent camping! It's nice to see people still do that. Everyone I know belive motorhomes are really roughing it.
Coleman canister pump-style stoves are great, but mine is clogged. How do you unclog the thing? It sits in storage now.
RitaHayworth, ehh I don't brush much at all... I can't, it will break off. It's damaged, so the brush won't go through without help. It will get back to normal. I don't use heat, but once-a-week.
Does anyone know where you can purchase those U.V. cotton gloves? I've heard that Japanese women use them, while driving etc. I'm extremely fair and my hands look..well...crappy. That reminds me, the Santana winds are due here...UGH! my hands will crack for sure. :eusa_doh:
LOL That's exactly why I like it! I've gotta way my poof down...that and it's so screwed up right now, that I have use the junk to get a brush through. Lord, I wished I never cut it. I'll never learn, I do thise and every time I end up hating it!
I have my same thoguhts about the stuff too, but then, I worry more about the plastic products our food products are packaged in/eat out of. Sometimes I wanna say "why breath?", like others, but you do wonder about all the stuff we use, as consumers. [huh]
