I had never seen a wool tie until last week in a store. They caught my eye and I just had to pick a couple up. I got a plain brown one and a faded green with a little hay colored stripes in it. Plaid-ish, but very feint. A tie is a tie, I'm sure it goes well with anything (while not...
Is it just the lighting or does your shirt have a pinkish hue to it? If so, it really goes well with the red repp tie. If not, maybe give that a try :)
This is my first time posting pictures.
It's not vintage, but hopefully it's classically inspired. I'm wearing a white button down shirt with a brown wool tie, and silk/cashmere sweater on top. Brown flat-front slacks.
I finally got my new (and first) Allen Edmonds shoes earlier this week...
My first brush was the Tweezerman off beautyrose that was linked. It worked great, though mine was faulty. The clump of bristles came unglued, and I don't use that hot of water to heat it up.
Right now I'm using a Savile Row brush which I like. There's been a little shedding the first week...
Awww, but I love screaming and growling death metal! :rage: -raaaawwwwr! lol
I haven't started wearing vintage yet, but I have gotten a lot of questions when I started wearing collared shirt and tie during the week. I'm still in college, finishing up a masters. I'm in a fraternity (yes...
"What's up?"
I absolutely can't stand being asked that. If you wish to greet me, say some variant of "hello". Don't ask me a question. You don't really want to know what I'm doing the second you walk up to me. I don't want to say what I am or have been doing.
(Note: This is okay to say if...
I just read this post and I think the Conditioner Only method may work for me. I used to use Head & Shoulders and a regular shampoo every day. The H&S is required since I get dandruff. I would use the second shampoo because at the end of the day my hair would be oily, so it will delay that...
(I'm no expert on what is vintage or not, so excuse if I ever confuse something)
I like how the suit fits you, and the other fine clothes I've seen in this thread. Take these same vintage pieces, make them sloppy and throw them on someone, they'll just look old and out of date. With a nice...
I think I was 18 when I learned how to tie one. My dad showed me how, then made me repeat it myself in front of the mirror until I could consistently do it. The only way to learn is to practice.
I need to work on my luggage situation. I have a thick two-fold wallet in my back right pocket, cell phone and notepad in left pocket (notepad for those impromptu things I need to write down like a song I heard or grocery list), right pocket has pen, pencil, keys, lighter, and a few coins. I...
