Could it be the same phenomenon that people got fatter but selling them a bigger size was rude? I mean thats whats happening with the fits, they become more "ample".
Ebay has its charm, I go onto the "different country" ebays as theres sometimes stuff there you like but the locals apparently...
Ha! I'm in the UK theseadiase and while last Saturday night it was -12 in parts, its back to the tropical + grades. I live in the Fens though, so the airs here are a wee bit different. And yes, there was a couple days of some dandruff on the ground. In any case, daily to work a (shudder) Calvin...
Hmm... well, I have (had) the same problem. Sizewise its either its too small or you get a 6-person tent. For summer/rain I've been using an old M65 fishtail shell. But its not half that dressy, unless you go for the "mod look". My OD trenchcoat is too long, unless it really is pouring.
If...
Interesting. I knew they made lids a lot here up until the 60's but then the fashion changed and the hatmakers and even hatshops slowly disappeared.
In the 80's if you wanted a fedora you'd buy a black smells-like-wet-dog Equadorian one off a market vendor as there was one or two upscale...
Add to that a NYPD 3/4 police jacket - old style. I think it lacks pockets in most versions. Theres a few places in NY that make them, I think Taylors leatherwear has one too.
The Schott would be perfect for my climate ;)
Hey jhonnyjhonny, how about that taylor's police jacket factory surplus stealdeal off eebers?
I thought that was a "bang for the buck" considering everything. Then again I've got my biker armpit-vents 150 bucks version I'm happy with.
Ok, weathering. Basically, the thing to watch out is that the color is "painted" on and the leather underneath is dark/black or mixed. The color comes off a bit rubbery, so "too much is too much" if you try anything abrasive. Also with lanoline/grease treatment, the paint doesn't let the grease...
Aging process worked - JohnnyJohnny asked where I parked the Stuka... it is what I'd call a "fixable" jacket for the price. The innards are shyte tho. And whatever is said off the Ulm Noblehouse guys, their stuff is improving, and they have some pretty rare models - like double breasted...
I don't know if you guys know - but you're wearing European skate.scene fashion clothes the kids here pay themselves silly to have. :D :D :D
Now for all the country yokels, I've got in my bookmarks a good (cheap) place in the USA called "Hank's Clothing" (free shipping & returns). Which...
I scored one off ebay last year. The sizing is as you said a bit baggy, and the liner I can tell you is WARM. So deffo not a summer jacket but excellent spring/autumn. The collar openings a bit too low/open for my taste.
I'm happy with their sizing, I'm sort of 50-52, but depending on the cut & sleeve length may need to go for a 54 or up to 5XL or whatever, while then the sleeves fit but the body is a balloon. This one is quite well-fitting with long sleeves and the back doesn't ride up. I won't go into the...
I got one of those - tossed the armor as I wear it just daily, the liner was a bit too clingy so I got it replaced with cloth after abusing the jacket to get it fit nicely - its pretty stiff & sort of "painted" leather vs. tanned so be careful.
Oh and I changed the buttons as well.
Also...
I need to congratulate you on fitting into a jacket you had 14-years ago.:eusa_clap
I bloated up after my army stint, so anything I wore at 18 were far beyond what I was 28...
As for those "marked blue" places I shy off jackets having them. Basically its a rubber sown into the leather like in...
