While at the ugly grocery store, I wonder if they ever looked good. Does anyone have any information regarding "golden era" of groceries and supermarkets?
Thanks.
No way is this tweedy kind a versitaile fabric, it would only go with some tweed suits which I do not own. This would be terrible to a normal blue suit.
And I don't know about how this would fit, a vest really needs to be an exact fit. Again, it is very hard to resist buying stuff when it is so...
I am normally not into workwear but this is really good. I think it is a great everyday working man outfit and it looks quite natural as well. The third picture is best, the one in which you don't seem to do a pose in.
But I must however say that I do not agree with the last button being buttoned!
Oh, I see. But suede is leather! Or skin at least. It is reversed nappa. I have a hard time imagining that for a jacket! But I am not really a suede person.
I understand both German meanings of the word Schlag, and neither do I like the musical genre. But it does not fit in that good in this meaning I think. But they must mean that the ties are Kassenschläger, although it would have been easier if they said so in Swedish...
I am glad the catalog...
Yes those pants are great I must agree. They have a certain work feeling to me, but the waistbands remind me of those on older underpants (which are for practical use I guess).
The pre-tied ties surprised me a bit, but they are understandable since many shirts had detachable collars. I hate...
SWEATERS:
I hope you all enjoy these beautiful illustrations as much as I do, I hope they are to use.
I can imagine the ladies underwear being quite useful, as well as the skiing clothes.
MENS COLLARS:
(Personally love these models)
MENS SHIRTS:
"Easy-sold boys shirts"
"New in better mens shirts"
"With permanently treated collars"
MENS NECKWEAR:
GARTERS AND SUSPENDERS:
(there are one more page of suspenders which I did not photograph.)
SLEEPWEAR:
(these are the only pictures with people in them, the rest are folded items)
(bottom row)
WINTER:
"Motor-hats"
LEATHER JACKETS:
I normally don't like leather jackets but these are really handsome.
WORKWEAR AND CLEANING:
Bottom row is sleepwear, more sleepwear later.
The industrial standard. Blåkläder.
For the military.
Some boys trousers!

Inside this boring grey catalog are beautiful illustrations and items. It is a look right back in time, someone has left a note on a paper on what to buy, which is still there. I wonder if they never bought their skiing-pants....
