The Ironheart/Aero collaboration is pretty much a cafe racer with collar - http://www.ironheart.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=3&products_id=281. Would probably look good with an athletic build.
I'd echo Nicolasb - it's going to be years until the linings sag or need repair...
"The first thing you should do after you purchase any leather garment is to treat it with a leather protector this solution usually comes in a spray can. When you get your garment, spray a light layer over the entire garment, let dry and reapply."
Think i'll pass.

It looks pretty good, IMO. Genuine vintage? What do you guys think?
Ya, boo, sux to the nay-sayers! I've lived and worked in London for over 20 years and I think the atmosphere in town at the moment is wonderful. It feels like the center of the universe and I feel proud of the old city. The inconveniences of travelling around have been relatively minor so far...
Just found that on their site you can get a little preview of the magazine. Too small to read but enough great looking stuff to tempt you into buying it. I think they stock it at American Classics, Covent Garden for any London Loungers out there. http://www.mensfile.com/
edit: and available at...
I've always thought there was a strange affinity between Scotland and Japan. Could it be the mountainous landscape and the whisky? Or it could be an Aero jacket and a pair of Japanese made Ironheart jeans make a the perfect combo?
So, anyone pulled the trigger yet? I've got an order in the system already but I'm sorely tempted to ask if they could swap it out for a Pioneer. I LOVE the back of that jacket.
For sipping whisky I don't mind a simple Jim Beam bourbon but on special occasions - like when a new Aero arrives - a Caol Ila 12 year old (or 18 if I've got the means) is perfect. I've got a small 3oz hip flask that fits nicely in the outside zip pocket of a Highwayman.
Just when I thought I'd got my Aero collection down to all the jackets I'll ever need they bring out the Pioneer!
I just love the details on this, check out the back. Damn you Aero! Now, better check what I've got on my credit card...

You're more than welcome :)
Personally I wouldn't treat the jacket yet. Despite the finish wearing through to show that great patina there are no dry spots of cracking. These hides are tough!
The fit makes sense to me - i'm 5'11' and 175lbs, also normally a standard size 40. I think it...
So glad it got there safely. Certainly looks a better fit on you than me, it was almost above the belt on my waist. I'm more than happy that this jacket's adventures are going to continue over in the States with you. Wear it in good health :)
It's one of those things guys, I love looking at it but end up not wearing too much. I reckon this jackets adventures should continue, it doesn't deserve to be stuck in a wardrobe.
I've decided to sell on this fantastic old Aero Highwayman as it's just not getting enough of my attention. Why? Well, i've got several other Aero jackets (yes, i'm one of those crazy 'Aerophiles') which still need lots of breaking in plus I think it's about an inch too short in the sleeves if...
Have you ever come across Free & Easy magazine? It's a monthly treasure trove of vintage and reproduction items and I believe they have a store in Tokyo - The Rugged Museum. A bit of Googling and you're sure to find many places over their, the Japanese have long been obsessed with American...
I'm going to add paintings by Klimt. Not that Art Nouveau is a particular favourite period for me but seeing the original paintings at a gallery some years ago they really took my breath away. The use of the gold leaf interwoven with paint really makes them 'transcendent'. If you get a chance to...
