Why is horsehide better than steerhide?
I think other than historical accuracy there is no reason to prefer one type of leather over another as they all fit certain needs. Lambskin is great for one type of jacket, cowhide for another, goatskin for another, etc. For an A2 or G1, I'd want horsehide or goatskin even if a case could...- CSG
