Can you date a hat based on sweatband logo?
The hat is not in great shape, its a black bowler derby with a leather embossed sweatband. I can’t seem to make out the name but I can read the words “American” and “Warranted”. It has a paper label. thanks for the help!- digi-shots

What type of hat....?
Hi, I'm new to this forum and have a question that hopefully one of the "hat experts" here can help... What type of hat would a "Railway Detective" have worn here in the U.S. in 1937? Would a "bowler" or "derby" be too "English" ? Thanks!- digi-shots
