Bought this NOS many years ago. Worn a bit, not abused — still excellent, supple sweatband, etc.
DuPont water repellant treatment on tag mentioned on tag.
Color is a light/creamy silver belly.
Unsure how to value this — unusual company, etc — so let’s say $150 plus actual...
Rare electric-ish blue Premier Stetson Stratoliner. Hate to let this go, but I haven't worn it in over a decade.
To be clear, this is BLUE, not steel-blue or some other shade of gray. It has some dust from sitting in a hatbox the last 10+ years and that probably mutes the color some too...
Howdy all!
I am going through my vintage hat collection and preparing to sell them...and one in particular made me think I should restore it and keep it rather than list it for sale (it is gorgeous and rare and would probably be my best hat if it fit and were restored)...a rust brown DePinna...
Howdy, all.
My main wearing hats need a good cleaning. I used to get them cleaned at Optimo, but Graham dropped hat cleaning years ago...which is about how long I've been meaning to get these hats cleaned.
Are there any other options in the Chicago area? I tried some Western store in Aurora...
Howdy, all.
I have a decent collection of beautiful vintage hats that I no longer wear...so I will probably sell most of them over the coming months.
I popped over to the classifieds section to see what was listed...since I haven't really engaged on the forum in a decade...and I see almost no...
I felt the old pictures did not do justice to the beauty of this fellow, but I couldn't edit the original post, so I decided to just start a new one. This hat has lovely color and lovely proportions indeed.
Some of the pictures are still so-so, but I have given the hat a good brushing, which...

Then have a look at these - prices include shipping in the lower 48.
Also - I will trade one or more of these for a 7-1/8 cool grey, tall crowned, wide brimmed fedora with a Cavanagh edge.
1) Grey Optimo – $100
2) Brown 30’s Borsalino from the usual NOS stash – dusty, needs a...
Size - TRUE 7-1/8 (I run on the smaller side of 7-1/8!)
Color - Cool grey
Tall and straight crown, fairly large brim. Mode/Cavanagh/Guild/whatever-you-want-to-call-it edge.
Ideal example is an old Stetson 3X.
First - a 7-1/8 tan costume (?) hat altered from an original Stetson Royal DeLuxe...the brim was definitely cut down by an amateur, the ribbon looks like an amateur replacement, the sweatband has this odd gold stamping over the Stetson writing and there's a weird liner...oh yeah, and it's kind...
First up, a pair of Florsheim longwings in black - I am not a shoe expert, but these look like they are from the 50's or so. I think I was the first person to wear these, and I would estimate I wore them only a 12-15 times. Always stored with shoe-trees, of course.
Size between a...
Color black
Size 10.5D
Not corrected grain
Preferably old Florsheims or Nettletons/etc. - something comparable and American made
Please PM me if you have anything like this to sell or trade...I'd actually kind of like to get them ASAP!
Thanks!
So, after wearing a pair of Randolph Engineering sunglasses for a while (which I liked very much), I was upset to find out that the gold-plate finish on the frames is susceptible to damage from the high salt levels in my sweat! My only solution seems to be a pair of sunglasses with gold-filled...
