Hey sleepy - Yes this particular hide shown on the Cap-A is a naked surface type of Octagon. I only have a small batch of it, hence the limited edition of jackets in that particular hide. This type requires almost no break-in period, is very supple and pics up the life of the world around it...
Just to give an idea of the other browns available...
this is a link to the really big shot.

And then here is a more forum friendly bit of color...
Joel - I patterned it myself in the vanson system, but it is replicated from the jacket he wears in this summer's movie. there is another thread talking about it here--> http://www.thefedoralounge.com/showthread.php?57322-Better-High-Res-Pics-of-the-Captain-America-Jacket
The Horse is similar...
Thanks FlyBoy!
$650 in this particular skin
$585 in standard competition weight cowhide colors, and Firenze (midweight) Black.
$735 in Horse... all up to size 46R US (56 Euro)
Thanks Fellas!
This is an oil-pulled cow type I believe... but I will offer it in horse as well.
I have these made by Vanson Leathers for my LogansCloset.com line, and should be adding it to the website very soon.
Here are a few more casual shots...
Cap'n - Some custom adjustments shouldn't be a problem at all since you're staying within the A-2 design realm. I can handle setting up the order for you if you like. No need to find a cycle shop or whatever to have to go through, and honestly I don't know where that is coming from...going...
Navin - I have LogansCloset.com, got into building Wolverine jackets through Vanson Leathers who made the original for the first XMEN movie, mostly due to my OCD with Halloween. Situation with one of their sales/internet guys being let go lead to me taking on that side of things for Vanson...
JohnnyCanuck - Good day to you as well... the Redback Crazy Horse UACH are Clark Kent's aka Superman's go to everyday work/hero boot for about 8 seasons on the tv show Smallville. Amazingly, once I got them i realize why they put him in this workboot. It is actually a very nice work boot to run...
RedBack UACH "Crazy Horse" work boots. I decided to get a set to check out for myself due to a screen seen interest, and I must say these have an awesome sole on them. Feels better than walking on Dr. Martin's air soles or even some Nikes (even trail running shoes I have) as far a sole...
Or it could just be a cool looking jacket to most people... I came across it on a random search and thought it looked pretty neat before even finding out what was what about the jacket.
Someone said this was a USN style storm flap... not sure what the significance is of the chest height...
This is better build quality than any of the five Westeds I've owed, from Lamb to Goat to Cow to Horse. There's no way I'd ever pay $700+ for anything J.Crew however, even the Belstaff stuff they carry...I can get fully custom anything from Vanson for that kind of $$. I paid about Wested price...
I know you listed Horse first, but Vanson's Black Comp Weight at 3.5oz is as tough as any HorseHide I've had my hands on.
And I know they could handle all your other listed details.
Start with the Thunderbird...delete the epualetts, then have them use the D-pocket setup from the HardCore or...
