    What's a wind trolley?

I have on vintage fedora with a wind cord, and actually used it once (in Chicago). Simply unwound the cord and buttoned it in my jacket lapel. I have seen illustrations of the hat buttoned to a lapel, as well as a button hole in the back of a jacket/shirt collar. Sent from my SM-N920C using...

How do folks react to your hat wearing?

Inspector Gadget and Indiana Jones... Apparently these are the only references underdressed people know. Although comments are rare, I do get stares and subtle picture taking. I wear a suit and fedora to travel, and get compliments from airport staff and stewardesses ("It's so nice to see a...

Males, do you part/manage your hair everyday?

My part is on the left, centered above the middle of my left eyebrow. I use a generous amount of Vitalis for everyday styling, or Groom & Clean for nights out. My cut is zero along the base, sharp fade, long on top.

New to the Vintage lifestyle, first meet up turned into a disaster

This is absolutely repulsive. I admire your restraint - I would've sucker punched someone.

    Brylcreem?

Yep - same here. My go-tos are Groom and Cleen (on weekends) and Vitalis (during the week). Both smell good and handle hair pretty well.

    Suits - Pre 1920

Same here in South Florida. I love my boater, and get complements continually.

Custom shirts with narrow point collars 30s style?

Luxire has done a wonderful job making them for me. They've also made trousers and waistcoats to specs.

    The Walking Dead on AMC

The show is awesome. I've also been reading the graphic novels, which I highly recommend. The show and novels are different enough to keep you interested and not spoil anything. Of course, if I survived a zombie apocalypse, I'd raid every vintage store I could find so I could kick zombie ass...

MY LORD IT'S HOT (Summer attire questions)

I wear linens - shirts, trousers. Polos occasionally. Panama hat. Boat shoes, penny loafers, or light colored bucks. I'm in So. Fla., so it's hot 50 weeks a year. Although I do disagree about the "no waistcoat" crowd. Nothing wrong with a three piece linen/seersucker. Let's face it: we...
