Lot's of 7 1/8" hats. Straw, fedora's, Stetsons, Knox, etc.

United States post office shows a flat rate box, which one hat would fit in to be $45.00, so the additional cost would be $35.00 as shipping within the US will cost me $10.50 which is included in the price.

Hats for sale: Last year when I first discovered this forum it brought back memories of my younger days when I remember wearing hats in my youth. As I started to buy a few hats myself, I happened to ask my father if he had any of his old fedoras still around and to my amazement, he had a ton...

Anyone know much about the J. Crew Millerain Field Jacket? (For motorcycle riding)

Another option is a Aerostich waxed cotton I have owned some of their jackets/suits before and they are well worth it. I would check out their closeout and seconds section and find a really good deal. Also check out the Darien and Darien Light, although they are more just riding jackets...

    A introduction, a score and a few questions/issues

Thanks for the info and the honest long and short of the situation. Realistically, I think the short brims are a bit too short for me, as I am 6'2" 240 lbs and look like a monster wearing a small fez in stingy's....

Were hats more disposable in earlier times?

He kept them all. I actually inherited them all this week as he was cleaning out his garage. Most of them weren't worn that much, or at least they didn't become dirty because of wear. Several were in boxes, but most no longer had the boxes. Here they are actually...

Were hats more disposable in earlier times?

I just spoke to my father who purchased several Stetson Fedora's from their store in the late 60's, early 70's. He stated that he would purchase a few to several per year, and that most gentlemen that still wore them seemed to own a few. Additionally, the prices even at their company store...

What do you think of modern "Street/Punk" Fedoras?

As others have mentioned, to each their own. While I already started to develop an interest in getting into a nice Fedora, I will admit that seeing them in JCrew may have helped pushed me into the right direction. Being the type of person I am, I knew immediately that I would want my first...

    A introduction, a score and a few questions/issues

I did check eBay and it is what it is. I think I will see if I could get the felt's reblocked one size up and see if that would make them usable. I would rather keep them in the family if possible, but the straws, well they won't be sticking around. I am west of Philly in PA. I do get...

    A introduction, a score and a few questions/issues

Thanks for the welcome! I did think that getting them up that far in size would be "stretching" it a bit much. Of course if I can't stretch em' out, or if doing so would make them look like a fat guy stretching a small hat on syndrome, then it would time to make them find good homes...
