Comments You Get When You Dress Vintage

The comments I get are mostly…”how lovely! I never knew anyone cared to dress up like that!” “I wish I could dress like that!”…and…the best….”You look amazing!”!

DEATHS ; Notable Passings; The Thread to Pay Last Respects

Her passing made me sooo very nostalgic and sad.... Lol and yes, Melanie...she was a piece of vintage movie work, wasn’t she? But yet, that was what I first remembered when I heard the news today...

    Anoying Panda Adverts

"We're moving to a new one hopefully later this month. We're going to be able to do this because of the ads. A necessary evil, but hopefully one that won't be bothersome to our registered users. We have to pay the bills somehow" Will you need to charge a fee to do this? My husband pays a...

Do you have things in common with your friends?

No one I know likes vintage life like I do, not even my hubby, but he does like the slower, quieter pace of life I try to keep going on at home. He does like my clothing as he prefers the conservative side of things...he calls my dresses, "Mrs. Cleavers"! I do wish I had a gal friend who liked...

    How tall are you, Ladies?

I'm 5'3. When I was in high school I wanted to be 5'7 because I wanted to model but seeing as my mom was 4'11 and dad was 5'9 the odds were I'd be on the short side :) My husband says it would be weird if I were taller-after 32 years together, he's a bit use to stooping over to kiss me!

    dress clips

Lol! Mine have sharp metal teeth...a bit pinchy! I didn't know what they were until a few months ago when someone on the forum did a post on dress clips...I felt 'real swell' for thinking they were earrings!

Bob Barker/ Jerry Lewis Done Wrong / "Rebranding"

Every time I find a product I like....the "improve" it. NOT. Gone are the days of class....respect....for the most part. Once in awhile I am surprised by a child being respectful...obedient....mindful....but less often by adults. They weren't taught any better...no discipline, no...

So whose boots are cooler, mine or my wife's?

Spotted those as Whites right off the git go! Only packers worn by my husband for 30 years! They have great customer service and have rebuilt my husbands boots a few times...well worth the money. Guess that means I think the Packers are cooler ;)

The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor

Bela Lugosi kept my mom up more nights than you'll ever know...I just couldn't sleep, I was so sure he was under my bed! But he was GREAT as Dracula! (And Christopher Lee? Peter Cushing? I don't care how corny those '60s horror flicks were...I was scared!!)
