Captain Lex, If you are worried about blisters and blistering check out one of the military aimed online catalogs, i.e. Brigade Quartermaster. They should have blister resistant socks...they do work. Get a pair of them and some polypro socks. Use the polypros as liners and then the blister...- mdove

It is never too early for an aloha shirt. The bright colors bring a smile to everyone's face and brightens their day just a bit. I have nothing but aloha shirts and wear them year around, under my Burberry, under my bomber, and sometimes even wore one under my uniform, just for s--ts and grins. -

In the US Army all officers purchase all of their own uniforms. Enlisted and NCO's are furnished uniforms. I would assume it is the same across the military. Certain field gear is issued but uniforms are purchased.- mdove

TY. Brought back lots of memories. Design and construction that has stood the test of time. Lived in WWII barracks at Ft Lewis, WA, and Ft Polk, LA. We never had any beds down the center aisle....that was the DI's and was kept at a spit shine. Woe be to anyone other than the DI who got in... -

Go with the .45. If he sees it and knows what it is you probably will not have to use it. Sometimes scaring the crap out of them is just as effective as shooting the crap out them. Besides, if you scare 'em crap is easier to clean up than blood.- mdove

I started looking at Ebay and thrift stores. I found a couple of Burberrys on Ebay, and bought a nice London Fog off a guys back at Goodwill. You will find lots of different stuff on Ebay. READ the ads carefully.- mdove

Camp Forsyth at Fort Riley KS, also housed WW II POW's. There is a POW cemetery there.
