The Price of Thrift
£20 for a dress is hardly thrift store prices. When we talk thrift store we mean under £5. In the UK the prices for vintage/second hand are much more expensive in the states/canada. Across the Pond and Stuff!
SarahB is right. The shapeless smock with footless tights and flat shoes is all the rage in the UK. It's a great look if you are 17, thin and over 5"9. Otherwise you just end up looking like a blob! The Price of Thrift
It's such a shame but in the U.K. thrift stores just don't exist. Not like back home in Canada. In the UK they have charity stores but they only sell new or nearly new stuff. Never vintage. All the vintage stuff seems to go directly to vintage dealers where the prices are hiked up. I assume...- Vanessa Anne

Soup's on...
I did a veg soup last week and threw in a large cut up, sweet potato. It turned out really nice.The sweet potato compleatly broke down and just gave a really lovely flavour and colour to the soup.- Vanessa Anne

I agree with Lady Day, say a few foot of green at the bottom and then 1/2 foot on the ends of the sleeves. I think red would not work somehow. I could be wrong. Just perfect for lounging in, all you will need are fluffy mules/slippers and a full face of makeup and loads of...- Vanessa Anne
