    Aero Zipper Wavyness

I'd say it was entirely normal. I notice some variation in my jackets and think it's just because each hide is going to handle differently. The light can exaggerate this as well.

Thurston Bros. - Official Affiliate Thread

That's what I thought - looks great, though! I can't decide what jacket to have in Vicenza.

    Simmons Bilt D-1 sheepskin jacket

I wore my ANJ-4 on a bike ride yesterday (couple of degrees above freezing) but my FQHH / shearling Longshoreman does a better job keeping the wind out.

    Aero Linings

I think moleskin is warm and feels substantial but not bulky. I've always thought the alpaca was a bit thin but I believe they are now using a heavier weight.

Calling all Aero Chromexcel BROWN Steerhide and FQHH Owners !

I just need to wear it more often. I bought this when I was the trimmest I've been for a while - visited Galashiels to check my size but then put on the pounds :( Now heading in the right direction!

Calling all Aero Chromexcel BROWN Steerhide and FQHH Owners !

Here's a couple of snaps of my FQHH HWM. One of the heaviest I have owned - over 10 years old and still waiting to break it in!

    B-3 or ANJ-4

Hi Tefouane, yes I am. I thought the sleeves might be too short but I think they're okay. I'll try and post some pics. It seems to have sparked my interest in military jackets again and now have an M422a on order!

    B-3 or ANJ-4

I've got the 3/4 zip which I'm not sure I would have specified but guess it is quite flexible - I haven't tried it on my bike yet. I think mine has the standard smooth A-2 horsehide: http://www.aeroleatherclothing.com/product-detail.php?id=2266 and think it works well.

    B-3 or ANJ-4

I've just bought an ANJ-4 which was on the sale page and it feels like a very comfortable jacket. I wasn't sure about the design at first but I'm glad I bought it. I can see myself wearing it a lot in the winter. It feels substantial but not too bulky. Of course, that doesn't stop me wanting a...

Jacket guys/gals, what briefcase do you carry? Do you match or change bags?

My latest buy: Aero M422A Jacket

Thanks Flyguy - not too bad, I guess. I suppose now is the time order with the hope that it's going be too warm to wear anyway.

My latest buy: Aero M422A Jacket

This thread is making me want to order one. I used to have an ELC M442a but was too baggy for me. Been a while since I've ordered something that wasn't on the sale pages - I wonder how long the waiting time is these days!

My latest buy: Aero M422A Jacket

It looks great! Interesting about the sizing - are your other jackets civilian types? Did you need anything added to the body and sleeve length?

    My 2 new Aero Jackets

Buying sheepskin jackets in the summer does at least mean there's something to look forward to when the cold returns!

    My 2 new Aero Jackets

I've been looking at that ANJ-4 for a long time but resisted temptation up to now. Now that you've returned it, I'm going to try it. I do have the same problem with long arms but if it fits, I'm going to have to sell a few jackets - they're getting a bit out of hand! The B-3 looks great btw.

    Panama Hat advice

I think I'll get one of the ones for around £100 and can easily return it if I don't get the correct size. I've been prompted to get one for protection this Summer - I burn easily and now lacking head protection!

    My new Irvin

Thanks for the comments. Yes, I think I was lucky with this one - normally the sleeves are too short for me. I did think for a moment that it was too short (but probably my stomach getting in the way :( !). I hadn't realised they do armoured shirts now, but will investigate. It's still cold...

    Panama Hat advice

I've never worn a hat before but I'm considering getting a Panama from this site: http://www.panamas.co.uk I would be grateful for any thoughts on the prices and quality. Thanks

    My new Irvin

Just picked this up from the AL sale page - do you think the 1" thick fleece will reduce a bit with wear? I know it's not historically accurate but I wanted something warm for the bike and I don't think the fit is too bad. It looks to be superbly made. Sorry the pics are not up to much.
