Pretty regularly. I actually started shaving my head with my straights, but when I was in a stage show, I didn't want to risk getting a nick, so I switched to using my 67 Gillette and found I could get a much smoother shave in about half the time. Actually, during the summer, Portland can get rather humid. But I will add that New York humidity is certainly worse. Portland is a very damp area of the state, so when it warms up it can be difficult to get comfortable short of air conditioning. Even at 80-90 degrees, it can be stifling...- Mr Oldschool

That's more like it, although I would have my reservations about the Nivea shave cream. It is extremely difficult if not impossible to get a decent lather without a brush, even from top quality shave soaps or creams in a tube. Just to toss this out there. If you're just trying to get started and don't want to make a huge investment, you can get a decent but nothing special safety razor from WalMart for about $20, or online from WhippedDog.com for about $16. They aren't a Merkur, but a Honda aint a Maserati- both...- Mr Oldschool
