    1940's dance this last weekend.

For lack of deciding a better place to post I am posting here. My sweetie and I went to a dance this weekend that was held at a museum airfield. She did some research and decided on a hair style she saw in a Batty Grable picture.

    The delightful attic smell.

I recently bought a pretty good suit. '50's era and I didn't even have to get it tailored. I have hung the jacket and trousers out in the open so they can air out but it still lingers a bit. I am originally from Arizona where I have never really encountered that smell until I left the state...

Free. Faux hanky dry cleaners tag.

This is something that this dry cleaners would put in the handkerchief pocket. As can be seen the top has the appearance of a handkerchief. The end is folded to fit the pocket. If someone would like it to add to their collection then let me know and I'll get it off into the mail to you. :)

    My wallet and key case.

Supposedly 40's or 50's. Never used stock. Has a stamp pocket which as we know is something we don't have today. The outside embossment. The hotel is now a Hilton hotel if I recall correctly. I love how old keys were more ornate.

Where to find a '40's era suit?

I found one on etsy but upon receiving it found the measurements were wrong, the material that could be let out was wrong, had fading and pit strains yet described as "excellent" condition. I tried Magnoli but he takes measurements differently than U.S. tailors and I guess that was an issue for...

    1950's Hubley Atomic Disintegrator replica

I was looking for one of these for awhile. They always were in some kind of bad shape. So...I made my own. The master pattern is SLA(sort of like 3D printing but better IMHO). The dials turn. Needle dial turns. The cylinder in the back is removable as if it were a power cell. Made hollow for...

    1930's era ribbon microphone

I sculpted this a few years ago, made the molds, cast the parts, cleaned and painted the parts. I was watching "Woman of the Year" with Spencer Tracy and Katherine Hepburn and an unpainted version was in the film.

Dick Tracy two way wrist TV

Hopefully it is not out of line here being that it is new made in vintage style. I made this from scratch, made molds, cast parts, cleaned and painted parts.

    What era is this suit?

Some are pretty easy to recognize but I am having trouble on this one. The only remarkable thing to it is that there is a notch on the back of the waistband. Thank you for your help.
