    I wouldn't mind having one in Moonstone or Sand. It turns out that they spilled a bunch of stiffener on the crown of mine. Any ideas on how to get the white stiffener residue out?

    Glad you like this one. The brim is 10cm, but it feels bigger because it's turned town. The tall crown is great!

    eBay Akubra Colly. Purchased with the hat band and strap installed. I only later found out that the band and strap are David Morgan exclusive products, and are together worth almost as much as the hat.

    I sent my first VS deposit over the weekend (well, my better half did -- bless her!). Can't wait to receive the conformer and samples. I'm sure I will be in decision hell trying to figure out which color and style I want (first, that is -- I have a feeling I won't be content with just one VS).

    Does anyone know a good, comprehensive resource for information on pre-1970 Resistols? I haven't uncovered very much information about older Resistols on the internet (quality designations by era, etc.), but I love them and I would like to know more about them.

    The phone camera lens (which isn't great) has distorted the hat to make it look taller than it is. Here's a more realistic view. Not that I don't like tall crowns!

    Custom 3X Beaver by Andrew Gross. Date unknown, though I suspect it's from the late 50's or early 60's. The felt quality is comparable to a Stetson 25 of that era (maybe even a bit better). Detailing is superb.
