I just completed a hat redo job here that might be of interest... it's kind of a movie tribute.
I encountered an unusual Beaver Brand hat auction on Ebay that intrigued me... the seller
was in Quaker country in southern Indiana, and he described it as a "cowboy hat", but that
just didn't seem...
At the time HARLEM NIGHTS was released, the studio did a full blown merchandising promotion for it.
Unfortunately, the film BOMBED big time... and the merch got blown out at giveaway prices online.
I'm the proud owner of an official HARLEM NIGHTS fedora! Made by Stetson, I picked it up for...
BTW, I think we've hit on something else here... the look is a matter of proportions.
It's been pointed out that brim widths are more or less standardized... REGARDLESS of hat size.
As it happens, I wear a 7 3/4, and if I can find one, 7 7/8 or 8 . A 2.5" brim is going to look very different...
I stand corrected !!!
Now that I think about it harder, I have seen him in the inauguration topper ( IMHO he looks a bit uncomfortable in it... and it also looks like it's too small!), and in the hats that are part of his Navy dress uniform.
The other pictures are new to me. Thanks !!!
Good point... Bogie WAS infamously short and slight. It was an open secret in Hollywood that in most of his movies he wore lifts in his shoes!

Examining it closely, I first thought the missing factor was that...
There's NOTHING like the timeless panache of a traditional goatskin A2 !!! Just putting
one on makes ya wanna climb into yer P-51 Mustang and go looking for the Abbeville
Kids!
I hear ya, loud & clear re. counterfeits... but I must admit that I DID get burned on a
matching scarf. Lesson learned... NEVER buy Burberry online!
As for the trench coat... real or fake, it's a really decent item in any case. My personal
homage to Bogie!
It's fibre blend is the...
The old Cooper A2 Flight Jacket I wore in USAF; in 1998 they did a one time
reissue to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Air Force.
It's my jacket of choice... weight a lot less than the Schott "One Star Perfecto".
Question...
I've got a Burberrys' here, and added a the zip-in liner. All signs point to it being
the Real Deal, not a clone. On the back of the left pocket label is a handwritten
notation (repair? modification?) dating it as 1994.
EXCELLENT build quality... if this is a copy, the...
