No I don’t think they did. There are no marks on the back just brown paint loss and rust they are old. I looked to see if it was replaced but if it was it’s a really good job lining is intact same threads, etc. just not sure. Also it reminds me of the transitional jackets of that era and there were many makers that came and went. I’m leaning towards an obscure maker. I just can’t find enough military markings on it and usually those are there.- americaneon

I did consider that but it has a lot more American attributes the German jackets are more utilitarian and the leather is much heavier plus the hardware is usually always German. Their buttons are different as well and their lapels are not so rounded and big it’s like a Hollywood cut. Plus the...- americaneon

I’ve had early 30’s and 20’s jackets that have similar details but the only thing that made me think differently was the double buckle although that has been used as well. Ahhh, the old wash question! I love hearing everyone's replies on it! Well, here's my 2 cents. I've sold premium and vintage since the 90s and I only wash my jeans if they are standing up by themselves. Lol. Inside out, cold water, delicate no soap but vinegar in the wash. Does great.
