Has anybody in the FL made his own monoposto?
I mean: use a old chassis and engine, and then rebuild a 'new' monoposto?
Maybe, when i get the time....................and the money.............i like to use a chassis and straight 8 from a 1930 / 1931 Buick to get this:
Plus Four.
have a laugh
WinoJunko: i agree, 'modern' ladies can be as cute as the 'vintage' ones. And i am not laughing at you. I can appreciate modern ladies or girls in handsome clothing. But a little bit feminine please.
In this thread it's about the vintage ladies. So let's add some more...
This is my 1928 Buick Opera Coupe.
It's the Master 6 and it has become (many years ago) a new paint.
The interior is almost original.
I had some problems wilt the carb and the ignition. But after a lot of hours in garage, and with help of the AACA the engine is running perfect now...
my cap
This is me with my cap, just for showing you. It's not vintage, but i am wearing it with damp and cold weather.
From the other side. As you can see with a short brim.
And a vintage (child) cap in beautiful colors:
Plus-Four.
No, i am not. We live here at the countryside. Maybe in town it's different.
This photo looks (more or less) vintage. It's lovely.
It's from the book 'Beautylight'. In this book are pics of the last 20 years about fashion from Matthew Rolston.
Some pics...
cap
Yes, the cap is nice, but they are hard to find.
The caps of that era were wider then they are now.
And what you can buy now is mostly a 6-piece or 8-piece cap.
The old-ones (the top of the cap) were made from one piece.
Hello
Good day to you all, Ladies and Gentlemen.
I am here for a few days, and i’m pleased to be here.
I am Taco (odd name) , living the Netherlands, 43 years old, and together with my wife we are running a business in roof tiles.
It started a long time ago with some farm tractors and...
Last year there was some news in the media about the 'return of the flapper'.
A (little) bit different from the old ones, but still (when you wish) a flapper.
It's a fact that i love the old flapper dresses. (evening gows)
One of the articles...

Socks
Thanks for the links and your advices.
I need some socks too for my vintage linen Plus Four. (20s i think)
It's not cleaned yet. Received it a few weeks ago.
Taco.
my shave
Well, i think i am a little bit modern while not using a blade..................
First when i got some hair, i began with electricity, but that is not funny to do.
I stinks, it's dirty, brrrrrrr. Hates that.
So, later i went to the brush. That's much better.
My wife...
My car
My 1928 Buick Opera Coupe.
Not for daily use, but for the 'Vintage ride'.
I drive not faster then 30 / 35 Miles/hour. But it drives very fine.
Most of the car is still original, it became years ago a new paint, but as you can see, the interior is 80 years old...
