    I too have the Hat Jack and have found it very useful for stretching a hat I have. I used a shoe stretcher liquid on the leather band first, and then steamed before putting the Jack inside. It worked very well

    Thanks Thanks everyone for your ideas. I used a wooden stretcher, liquid stretcher for the band and steam for the felt. Combination did exactly what I wanted. Thanks for your imput.

    After reading several helpful posts here on stretching, I wonder, when steaming before the stretch, if this should be on the inside (on the band as well as the felt) or the outside. Any help or other ideas on stretching one size would be most welcome.

    Repair of sweat band Anyone know if it is possible to repair a "cracked" sweatband. The band has "torn" at the back, otherwise it is OK. Thanks in advance.:)
