Nice pictures. However, size L doesn't mean much because every manufacturer uses a different pattern for their "L" and other sizes. It's customary to post actual measured dimensions....sleeve length from top of sleeve to cuff, seam to seam at the top of the sleeves where they join the shoulders...
I went ahead and purchased one of the Schott 9838 coats in size M and L, because I wasn't sure of the sizing. I'm about 5' 10" and weigh 175 lbs. I usually wear a 40 or 42, depending on the maker of the jacket, and 32 inch waist pants. I already owned an Alpha "Slim-Fit" N3-B, size L and like...
Gibson and Barnes offers their "F-82", which they describe as an A2 front and a G1 back made into one jacket. This sounds like something that would work for you.

My "apiration" would be to reduce the number of leather jackets, since I have more than I can easily wear at present. It's not really a reflection on any of the individual jackets, just that I don't have opportunity to wear them, and would rather someone else have them who WOULD wear them.
Has anyone owned, or at least seen in person, Schott's 9838 "Satin Flight Parka"? Not a true N3-B replica, but close enough for me...I think I actually prefer the change to snaps instead of buttons for the wind flap, and I like very much the rich deep blue color...
I bought some of their "made in Maine" shoes, back in the 80's, and several of their Hamilton watches. But when those items wore out, I didn't consider returning them for free replacement. I got my money's worth, and was satisfied.
I have two of these, one brown goatskin, the other black goatskin.
Made in the U.S. by Schott for US Wings. Nylon lining. Both are near mint, barely worn.
$250 each shipped in CONUS.
Although both are marked size M, there are very slight differences in sizing as follows:
Overall length from...
Clearing out my closet of items that don't get worn as much as they deserve. This Signature Series jacket from was made by Schott in the U.S. for USW and is like new, has only been worn a handful of times. $250 shipped to the CONUS...
Clearing out my closet of jackets that don't get enough wearing time. I purchased this Signature Series jacket new a few years ago, it has since been discontinued. Made in the US by Schott. I've only worn it a handful of times, it still looks like new. Thick, pliable black goatskin with black...
I have worn this jacket a few times, and described the fit in my first post. I can't say how the US Wings "Modern A2" fits, they describe the fit as "normal" , but they did describe the fit differently for this "Current Issue" jacket, as "military" until they were sold out. The last of the...
M. Julian jacket in size M, a comfortable 40 on my 5' 10" 170 lbs. Thick and soft cowhide with many of the styling features seen on the Highwayman and similar jackets, i.e. not a duplicate, but it has "that look" overall, including central metal YKK zipper, horizontal pocket on left breast...
This is one of Wilson's premier jackets from the late 60's/early 70's, when their quality was second to none. Size 40, fits me well at 5' 10" and 170 lbs. Very thick, sturdy cowhide leather with REMOVABLE full belt. Korean manufacture, with workmanship and detailing equalling or exceeding the...
Size 40 leather casual jacket, not a flight jacket or motorcycle jacket, just a "wearing around" jacket, a bit like a Highwayman. Soft caramel colored cowhide with plenty of broken-in character (i.e. scuffs, wrinkles and other indications that this is not a brand new jacket). Khaki twill lining...
