As far as the "Lightweight" question goes, I've got a pukka International and a lightweight Cowan Commando.
I wear the Cowan when I'm out surveying or doing landscape stuff, it's light waterproof and tough... but it's not pukka.

If you were using it for real aviation, there are "Dunlop" vintage racing suits available which are not dissimilar (ok dissimilar, but ok under a Mae West), pricey, but Nomex.

Hello folks, read the thread with interest. I've always loved these jackets, but like a few here, I'm not crazy about dressing in what is, after all a Nazi uniform (yes I know...)

My old motorbike Jacket, too small, gravel rash, beer rot, and generally falling to bits, is a Rivetts "Highwayman". I love it to bits, and won't part with it, but what happened to Rivetts? Google draws a blank.
