    Hat Shrinkage.

I'm gently snugging it down tighter hoping that will help to some degree. A hat jack may be in order...

    Hat Shrinkage.

I bought a beautiful new Stetson fedora that fit perfectly. Suddenly, it seems to have shrunk, it still fits ok, but it feels just tight enough to be a little uncomfortable. Anyone else have this problem?

Found a nice hat at a great price but....

It's not my first hat but I have really enjoyed VHS. I want to get the Jaxon Crushable Safari Fedora in Grey, they said they were going to get more in in that color but they haven't yet. The Untouchable comes close as far as appearance.

Found a nice hat at a great price but....

The little white cord that runs around the base of the hatband is a bit of a dealbreaker unless it can be removed without damaging the hat. Can this be done? If they made the little cord grey or black at least I could ignore it, but white...ugh. I'm possibly interested in the Steel Color:

    Hat size versus acceptability.

It's different with everyone. I have a hat with a 2 1/2 inch brim and I've gotten nothing but "Nice hat", I would look hideous in a trilby.

    self-concious in my fedora

If I get self conscious about my hat, I think about all the people that have dragons and god knows what else tattooed all over their bodies and they're going to give me crap because I wear a hat? HA!

    Stetson bummer from Miller

Village Hat Shop is far and away the most customer friendly of the major online hatters..

    Question

It is nice. Yeah there are plenty of hatters here, but I'm not sure any of them have seen a fedora, (I kid of course). Fedoras are nearly impossible to find here. Everyone either wears cowboy hats or ballcaps. If it wasn't for the internet I wouldn't own one. The closest you thing you can find...

    Question

Here's the hat: I got it in grey and I would describe the look of it as almost a "Cattlemen's Fedora" the bash looks almost Western or Texas style in reality and I would like to change it to more of an Indy bash or something.

    Question

Thanks to all of you. I'll give it a shot, I want a tighter pinch in the front and I was gonna go for more of a center dent in the crown but I may stay with the c crown. I'll reread the suggestions later. I may also look in the yellow pages under "hatter" also and ask what they would charge...

    Question

Is it possible to "re-bash" a hat that I ordered that came "pre-bashed" I got a Miller Hat whose bash I am not crazy about that I am thinking about changing the bash on. If "yes" how does one go about it? Thanks...

HOLY GRAIL? /What fedoras are you pining for?

My Modified Bailey Maran I "modified" it by removing the original hatband and removing a better hatband from another hat I didn't want and buying Goop to glue the bow to the band and then wrapping the band around the hat. How's that for amateur hour?
