i would have to say that wearing a homburg indicates that one is way too important to be worrying about insignificant things like carbon footprints.

the brand new stetson open road has a cattleman's crease that is so stiff that it would take a considerable amount of work to re-bash. and i doubt a first time effort will work.
try it as it is; you may come to like it. wear it with the front brim snapped down.

a good business plan for Stetson would be to just start re-making the hats they used to produce. they should already have most of the old equipment and expertise. their contemporary Open Road are fine hats; presumably they could make a decent Whippet or...
